Clio’s Company specialise in site-specific theatre, theatre in education, live interpretation and training.

We research, write and stage productions for school and community audiences in locations from a tidal mill and Chelsea Physic Garden to several City of London churches and assorted historic houses, by way of the odd damp field. Many of our plays provide a unique form of theatre in education in which the audience become characters and help influence events.

Live interpretation characters appear in all kinds of guises and locations – Michael Faraday in one his lighthouses, Lady Wallace among her husband’s hoard of treasures, a starveling fresh from an East End workhouse and a survivor of the D-Day landings are just a few examples.

Our training courses are for teachers and business people. Some cover presentation skills, voice and movement, some are curriculum-based.
